Myleene confesses: 'I felt fat in THAT bikini'

This picture of Myleene Klass looking sexy and curvaceous in a white bikini has become an almost iconic image – but she has confessed she felt PODGY in it.

The former Hear’ Say star had given birth to baby daughter Ava just three months before the Marks & Spencer shoot and felt sick with insecurity over her figure.

The 30-year-old revealed: “I’m only 5ft 5ins and I had a bit of a tummy. I felt small and podgy.”

To make matters worse, the new mum was on location with super-skinny models Erin O’Connor and Twiggy.

And when the stylists gave her a bikini to put on, Myleene confesses she felt “physically sick”.

She said: “I said to them ‘You do realize I just had a baby three months ago?’

“It was really difficult for me to overcome my issues so soon after giving birth.”

Having put on four stone during the pregnancy, the classically-trained pianist was feeling decidedly heavier than her usual nine stone.

And after slimming down to a svelte eight stone after her stint in the jungle on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!, Myleene was feeling especially self-conscious about her extra pounds.

But looking back on the experience, she told The People: “I’ve realized M&S picked me because I’m not a model, I’m a real woman with curves.

“I’ve got stretch marks, and I wobble in different places now – but it’s just like war wounds and I wear them with pride.”

Myleene has admitted her transition to motherhood has been anything but plain sailing.

She says she felt let down by the NHS after a shortage of midwives meant she had to wait nine days for a home visit after her daughter’s birth.

The star felt “isolated and lonely” afterwards and even considered leaving her fiancé Graham Quinn.

Happily though, the pair seem to have come through the experience and are even considering adding to their family.

Myleene said: “If you had asked me a few months ago, I’d have said no way any more kids.

“But nature has a way of making you forget. I’m broody again…”

When asked on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross if Beyoncé would be attending Glastonbury with her husband, the rapper claimed she was busy in American filming.

She stood at the side of the stage as rapper Jay-Z rocked the crowds in Somerset, despite many labelling the signing as controversial.

Jay-Z delivered a response to Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher, who criticised the rapper's appearance on the bill when he was first announced as one of the headliners earlier this summer.


Gallagher said: 'I'm not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong.'

The hip-hop star, real name Shawn Carter, walked on stage last night with a guitar before launching into a rendition of Oasis' 1995 hit Wonderwall, which was warmly received by the crowd.

Following his rock tribute, Jay-Z then performed a cover of Amy Winehouse's hit Rehab, who had earlier criticised him for not knowing all his lyrics.

He shouted: 'For those that didn't get the memo my name is Jay-Z and I'm pretty f**king awesome.'

Against a backdrop of an image of U.S. President George W. Bush, Jay-Z freestyled about his country's government's failures after Hurricane Katrina.

But just hours before he performed, Jay-Z upset Glastonbury organisers after constantly changing his travel plans ahead of his headline performance.

The 38-year-old New Yorker had been due to arrive by helicopter early yesterday for a tour of the 500-acre site in Pilton, Somerset.

But a source close to Michael Eavis, owner of Worthy Farm, said the singer’s entourage wanted to be driven in.

A plan to fly Jay-Z to the festival by helicopter was finalised just hours before his 10.45pm performance.

The booking of one of hip-hop’s biggest stars has caused anger among some fans, who claim Glastonbury is betraying its roots as a rock-music festival.

Pop star Michelle Heaton's 19-month marriage to Andy Scott Lee ended after she had an affair with actor Matt Di Angelo, according to her estranged husband.

Former 3SL band member Scott Lee, 28, and Liberty X singer Heaton, 27, announced they were splitting earlier this month, blaming 'personal problems'.

After news of 21-year-old Di Angelo's split from girlfriend and former Strictly Come Dancing partner Flavia Cacace, 28, was announced last week, Scott Lee has broken his silence over his marital breakdown.

Scott Lee tells the Sunday Mirror he ordered Heaton to move out of their Windsor home in April after discovering the singer's alleged infidelity after finding a Facebook message on the couple's shared laptop.

He said: 'The truth is Matt Di Angelo killed my marriage.

'Michelle and I didn't split up because we drifted apart - I ended it because she cheated on me before. But Matt was the straw the broke the camel's back.'

Scott Lee found a message from Heaton to a female friend admitting she had been 'naughty' when she was over in Ireland at the same time as Di Angelo.

He claims the message said Heaton admitted to spending two nights in a Dublin hotel room with the EastEnders actor.

Heaton, a judge on the Irish talent show You're A Star, and Di Angelo, were both in the city to take part in a TV show.

Scott Lee said: 'My heart was pounding as I read my wife telling her friend how sexy Matt was. The worst part was, I'd met Matt last year and we'd got on well.

'Michelle cheated on me before but always denied it, so I expected she would lie again.

But I wanted to give her one last chance to save our marriage. I told her I knew she'd spent the night in bed with Matt and at first she denied it outright.

'I told her I had evidence to prove it, then she admitted she had stayed there, but that other people were there too, and insisted nothing happened.

'But I had evidence. I'd had enough of her lies so I told her the marriage was over.'

Heaton has insisted no third party was to blame for her marriage.

Earlier this month, she said: 'All that stuff about me and Lee Sharpe and getting together with other blokes is ridiculous.

'The split was inevitable.'

Matt and Flavia announced their split last week, blaming busy schedules. They had got together during the BBC ballroom series after Flavia dumped Vincent Simone, who was also a pro dancer on the show.

During a flight to Monaco she was said to have tickled Williams' ears, fondled his neck and rested her head on his shoulder.

Crane and Harding had been together for a year before they split, and 'had a very good sex life' according to Crane, who said he ditched Harding because her pop star schedule meant the two spent hardly any time together.

The group were joined by their dancers recently on a beach holiday to celebrate the end of their Tangled Up tour.

Jemima Khan in tears after her Mini hits motorcyclist

Burying her head in her hands, Jemima Khan appears to be on the verge of tears after being involved in a collision with a motorcyclist.

The 34-year-old socialite was said to be 'distraught' after the incident, which happened in London on Friday afternoon.

Jemima, a mother of two and former wife of Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan, was driving her Mini along the fashionable Kings Road in Chelsea when the accident happened.

Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene within minutes and the 39-year-old rider was taken to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital with a minor shoulder injury.

One onlooker said: 'Jemima was very pale afterwards and obviously in shock. She held her head in her hands and she was in tears. She seemed really distraught.'

A Met Police spokesman said a report would be sent to its Criminal Justice Unit to decide whether or not a summons needed to be issued.

Jemima is not known for her driving skills. Last year, she drove into a parked Mercedes-Benz after lunch with friends in Chelsea.
