The 37-year-old judge teamed the dress with fushcia high heels and bright red nail varnish as she declared ‘The show must go on!’
What big chill? Amanda Holden braves the cold in stunning purple dress with a plunging neckline and fushcia high heels
'We' weren't going to let a bit of snow stop us,' she said as she arrived at the New Theatre in Cardiff with fellow judges Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan.
The judges, along with hosts Ant and Dec reportedly booked into a nearby hotel just in case they were snowed in.
Amanda braved the cold to chat to fans who waited patiently outside the venue.
'She was amazing. Everyone was shivering and shaking but she breezed up looking like something from Hollywood Boulevard in the California sunshine.
The judge did not let icy temperatures affect her wardrobe choice
"She stopped and spoke to quite a few people on the way in - she loved it all," said fan David Briggs.
The reality show made headlines last month when model Kelly Brook was hired as a judge, only to be dumped six days later.
Kelly was unveiled as a new Britain's Got Talent judge in a surprise move, just hours before rehearsals for the new series started in Manchester.
Show officials said she would be joining regulars Cowell, Morgan and Holden on the panel.
But after reviewing tapes over the weekend, producers Talkback Thames decided the new format was too 'complicated' and dumped Kelly.
