Party princess Bea hits town with Eugenie while glum mum Fergie dines with boyfriend just down the road

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie hit the town last night to attend the launch of Form, a luxury menswear brand designed by Petra Ecclestone - the 19-year-old daughter of F1 mogul Bernie Ecclestone.

And their mum Fergie was also out and about, dining at The Dorchester with her Norwegian tycoon boyfriend Geir Frantzen.

The princesses smiled for the cameras at the event at Harrods in Knightsbridge and seemed to be having a nicer time than their mum who looked rather glum as she made her way home.

The clothes launch was attended by Bernie Ecclestone, who has financially backed his daughter's business, his wife Slavica, racing car enthusiast Jay Kay and tennis star Boris Becker.

The royal sisters, no strangers to money or power themselves, looked poised and elegant but were in danger of being outshone by Petra and her sister Tamara who one day stand to inherit their father's £2.4billion fortune.

As her daughters mingled in Knightsbridge, Sarah Ferguson was in nearby Park Lane eating at China Tang at The Dorchester with boyfriend Geir Frantzen.

After they had eaten, the couple stood in the restaurant's hallway having a chat for about half an hour as their chauffeur-driven car waited for them.

They then emerged separately looking a bit serious, with Fergie even biting her nails as they drove away.

Princess Eugenie showing a bit more than a Royal ought to?

Princess Eugenie is developing quite the rebellious streak, if her latest fashion choice is any indication.

The 18-year-old, who is sixth in line to the throne, abandoned the buttoned-up look traditionally favoured by Royals for a daring plunge-neck frock last night.

Her décolletage was on display in the floral print number, and very nearly threatened to spill over as she piled into a cab after partying at London's Whisky Mist nightclub.

Princess Eugenie is now a regular on the social scene after finishing her studies at Marlborough College this summer, achieving A grades in art and English literature and a B in history of art.

Those who know Eugenie say she is more socially outgoing than older sister Princess Beatrice, who is in a serious relationship with Virgin Galactic employee Dave Clark.

Why so shy? Eugenie collected a mystery male companion as she left the club

In June this year Eugenie was reprimanded after she was found naked in the grounds of £23,000-a-year Marlborough, where she was a boarder, following a drunken night out.

‘Eugenie is the one to watch,’ a friend has said. ‘She loves to party and knows how to have fun. She’s a bit of a live wire.’

Eugenie, who is about to embark on a gap year, has yet to step out with a serious boyfriend but did end the night with a mystery man in tow.

Sources close to her say she has ‘many admirers’ but ‘no one special’ in her life.

Fergie nearly loses her skirt on windy family day out to the polo

In a knee length dress and white jacket the Duchess of York looked the image of respectability. Until the wind began that is.

As she walked across the polo field Sarah Ferguson's flimsy dress blew up, exposing her legs to the watching crowds.

Her quick reactions were all that stopped an embarrassing moment as she reached down to hold the skirt firmly in position.

The black and white wrap dress, decorated with musical notes, then slid to one side as the Duchess gingerly picked her way across a patch of mud in her white flip flops.

But the former wife of Prince Andrew didn't seem put out by her wardrobe malfunction.

Instead the 48-year-old was all smiles as she joined daughters Beatrice and Eugenie in cheering on the teams at the final of the Gold Cup polo match at the Santa Maria Polo Club in Sotogrande, Spain.

The trio are enjoying a rare family holiday together to celebrate Princess Eugenie's brilliant A'level results and Princess Beatrice's recent 20th birthday.

The break may be the last time the three are together for a while. After receiving two As and a B at A' level 18-year-old Eugenie is expected to soon head off on her gap year abroad.

Meanwhile, Bea is gearing up to start a degree at Goldsmiths College in London next month after traveling around the world during her gap year.

Looking the image of her mother Bea chose a jewel green sundress, accessorised with a chain belt, white cardigan and an oversized brown leather clutch.

She and her sister wore of-the-moment black leather gladiator sandals, which Eugenie teamed with a blue sundress and turquoise cuff.

The young Royals were joined by a large group of friends to watch the polo.

Amongst the youngsters was Bea's boyfriend Dave Clark, who is said to have been given the seal of approval by her parents.

He certainly seemed to be getting along famously with the Duchess, laughing as she pulled a face at the match.

But it was Bea who really held his attention. She was introduced to the 26-year-old by her cousin Prince William, who attended St Andrews University with Mr Clarke.

Princess Beatrice joins Fergie on a healthy jog

Princess Beatrice and Sarah Ferguson teamed up for a mother-daughter workout in Spain today.

The duo, both dressed in knee-length leggings and tees, built up a sweat as they pounded the pavement together on an early morning run.

Fergie is enjoying a rare family holiday with her two children, who have enjoyed vacations with their cousins and Beatrice's boyfriend Dave Clark this year.

As well as spending time together, the holiday has been an opportunity for the trio to celebrate Princess Eugenie's brilliant A'level results and Princess Beatrice's 20th birthday two weeks ago.

Last Thursday, a delighted Eugenie received A grades in Art and English Literature and B in History Of Art after graduating from Marlborough College in Wiltshire.

Eugenie's A'level results mean she is the brightest young royal after acheiving higher grades than her cousins Princes William and Harry and sister Beatrice.

She is planning to take a gap year before going to university in 2009.

Meanwhile, Beatrice is gearing up to start a degree at Goldsmiths College in London next month after travelling around the world during her gap year.

She is said to be keen to do charity work and there are tentative plans for her to visit an orphanage in Romania with her mother later this year.

Princess Eugenie gets glam in Tatler photoshoot to mark her 18th birthday

In her earlier years, she was often seen in public dressed identically to her sister Beatrice.

But as she approaches her 18th birthday, Princess Eugenie is developing her own striking sense of style - even if it's not entirely original.

Her glossy beehive and gamine features elegantly echo Audrey Hepburn's classic look that entranced millions in movies such as Breakfast At Tiffany's.

Eugenie and older sister Beatrice - called ' The Yorkies' by friends - are very close

Eugenie, younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, highlighted her Hepburnesque qualities in a Tatler photoshoot to mark her coming of age.

It is her first official portrait and one that is likely to launch her as the most glamorous young royal around today.

For despite being the great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria and sixth-in-line-to-the-throne, Eugenie has happily remained under the royal radar - until now.

"Eugenie knows full well what is expected of her as a member of the Royal Family and is happy to take part in all those balcony appearances with her grand-mother but she is the last person you will ever find using her title outside of royal circles," says a family friend.

Unlike her cousins, William and Harry, the nearest Eugenie has come to a public scandal was being turned away from the VIP section at a music festival two years ago because the bouncer didn't believe she was a princess.

That's not to say she doesn't have her moments and with a possy of dubious friends including Peaches and Pixie Geldof, it's no surprise that her own father admits she had been a "tearaway" at times.

From plain princess to glamorous cover girl, Eugenie substitutes the High Street wardrobe she favours for designer clothes

As well as the obvious physical differences from her elder sister, Beatrice, Eugenie is also the more worldly of the two and has a host of admirers at £26,000-a-year Marlborough College, where she is a straight-A student studying for A levels in Art, History of Art and English this summer.

She does, however, tell Tatler magazine that she and Beatrice - dubbed The Yorkies by friends - are still very close.

"Like all sisters we have silly arguments about unimportant stuff, but we do love each other to death," she says.

She describes her parents as "the best divorced couple I know," adding: "They just always went out of their way to make us feel loved and secure."

And she raves about her grandmother the Queen - whom she has nicknamed "Supergran" - saying: "Truly one of the most amazing women ever. She is also very funny....All I can say is that she has this air of magic about her.

"And she is incredibly wise. What doesn't she know?!"

Despite her blue blood, Eugenie's life hasn't always been easy. At the age of 12, she underwent a seven-hour operation to correct a curvature of her spine, during which surgeons had to insert two titanium rods into her back which are still there today.

Happily the operation was a complete success and despite predictions that she would be a "hunchback" by the time she was 18, is clear that Eugenie, who grew two inches taller as a result of the operation (she's now an enviable 5'7'') has suffered no ill-effects.

Like most girls of her age, the arty princess - who has a Norfolk Terrier called Jack (named after the 24 television character) and devours books, most recently The Kite Runner - is addicted to using her computer and even has her own pages on social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook.

She loves to drive her parents mad, she says, by having her i-pod on loud, says her favourite foods are hot dogs and loves television shows such as Desperate Housewives and Lost.

She also jokes about her name saying: "Whenever we used to meet foreign people who were struggling with it, my mum and I would help them by saying, 'It's like Use Your Knees!'

"But whatever. I am now used to every pronunciation."

Despite her mother's predilection for dressing her daughters identically, Eugenie is also steadily developing her own sense of style.

On the cover of Tatler she is wearing a purple silk-duchesse satin gown by Ralph Lauren with gold, diamond and emerald earrings by Bulgari.

Inside she has chosen a silk and metal dress by Daks Luxury by Giles Deacon and a white-gold and diamond necklace by Chanel Fine Jewellery.

Normally, however, she favours the High Street with thigh-skimming dresses from Topshop and Reiss often topped off with a jaunty little beret.

Unlike Beatrice, who marked her coming of age with an over-the-top costumed ball, Eugenie is planning a small celebration with her family at Windsor Castle over the Easter weekend (her actual birthday is on March 23) followed by a night out clubbing with her mates.

It's likely to be the last time this anonymous young royal will be able to enjoy a night out away from the public glare.

The April issue of Tatler is on sale from Thursday.
